“Facing The Waves”
Dogwood Productions presents “Facing The Waves”
Facing The Waves is a new musical from an award-winning composer, with a cast from London’s West End. This is an inspiring new production with a story and songs that will stay with you.
This Musical is helping to celebrate the RNLI’s 200th anniversary with a story that’s based in Whitby, and features the stories of those people who risk everything to help others including:
Henry Freeman, (the iconic Victorian hero and sole survivor of the 1861 Whitby lifeboat disaster) strives to prove himself to his community as he takes on the mantle of coxswain of the Whitby lifeboat.
Faith (RLNI crew member) – following in the footsteps of all those who came before her, she takes on every single challenge presented to her: work, family and crew. But life by the sea isn’t all ice cream and chips. Not everyone can be saved.
Friday 20th September at 7.30pm and Saturday 21 September at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
