East Cliff Cottages are traditional fishermen’s cottages which are located under the cliff in the old part of town between the Abbey steps and the East pier. The old houses have been carefully modernised to form three ground floor flats and three cottages sleeping 2-6 people.

The cottages are self-contained with superb, uninterrupted views of the small busy harbour, across the bay and out to sea. The cottages are full of character with balconies, garden terraces and steps leading down to a private gate and the safe, sandy beach below. The cottages share a private car park – rare in old Whitby.

26 Henrietta Street – Three Star Gold award (Sleeps 6+1)

This large fisherman’s cottage has accommodation across 3 floors. The ground floor contains a fully fitted kitchen with breakfast table and a bathroom with a separate bath and shower. There are also 2 bedrooms; a double and twin bedroom. The middle floor comprises a large sitting room and dining area leading out onto a private sunny terrace. The roomy top floor has a double bed, a futon bed and also includes a separate shower and toilet.

33 Henrietta Street – Three Star Gold award (Sleeps 6+2)

This is a spacious cottage, on the first floor there is a double bedroom, bathroom and fully fitted kitchen. There are three steps leading down to the living/dining area which has a sofa bed for additional guests opening onto delightful sea-facing balcony. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with a Juliette balcony containing a double bed and 2 single beds.

33a Henrietta Street – Three Star Gold award (Sleeps 2+2)

This appealing flat has a double bedroom, bathroom and fully fitted kitchen with three steps leading to the spacious living/dining area which also has a sofa bed. This room leads onto a large sea-facing terrace.

This is a charming cottage, the first floor has fully fitted kitchen/diner and a lounge with two seating areas (including a small conservatory) leading out onto a large sea-facing balcony. The top floor has a family bathroom and three comfortable bedrooms; a double, twin and bunk room.

35a Henrietta Street – Three Star Gold award (Sleeps 3+2)

This lovely flat is partly open plan in design, containing a kitchen, dining area and bedroom area with a double bed, single bed and futon. Separately there is a family bathroom and a living room which opens onto a large sea-facing terrace.

37a Henrietta Street – Three Star Gold award (Sleeps 4)

This delightful flat has a kitchenette and dining alcove, a cosy lounge area containing a fireplace with a wood burning stove. A second seating area leads out onto a spacious sea-facing terrace. There are 2 bedrooms; one double and one twin with access to the bathroom.
